Located near Trent Lock on the Erewash Canal, Mills Dockyard has been operated by four generations of the Mills Family and the boatyard is currently ran by Steve Mills who has over 40 years of experience dry-docking and repairing all types of canal craft.

The yard offers wooden boat restoration and repairs, but its main use is offering out of water repairs and maintenance to steel narrowboats in our open or covered drydocks.

In addition to this, services including fabrication and internal works can all be offered on site as well as a well-equipped chandlery being based here for all boaters needs.

The boatyard is noted for its friendly working atmosphere established from many years of service with a strong community ethos.
